Japanese National Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, NICT) has developed an integrated space weather simulator, which reproduces in digital form areas of the state of the surface of the Sun before Earth`s upper atmosphere on the screen, on the basis of supercomputer calculations. In addition to the existing projections magnetosphere simulator can predict the emergence of the northern auroral and increasing deviations in GPS system because of ionospheric disturbances. device consists of magnetospheric simulator and two other simulators, working in real time. One of them reproduces the behaviour of the Sun and the solar wind, the second - the state of the ionosphere and thermosphere. Together, all this allows modulate the state of space between the Sun and Earth. For example, the simulator is able to form images of solar winds emitting Sun toward the Earth, as well as images of the magnetosphere, ionosphere and thermosphere. The accuracy of predictions of ionospheric disturbances and the state of the thermosphere has improved significantly, allowing capture the impact of ionospheric disturbances in the wireless communications, GPS satellites and low Earth orbit. In addition, the simulator gives a forecast of the state of the ionosphere for three days earlier than traditional systems. NICT plans to check and improve performance simulator compared with the testimony of satellites and ground-based observatories. Development of technology for predicting the state of Outer Space for the hours and days ahead is also in the plans. For the next maximum solar activity, expected in 3-4 years, NICT has set as a goal the development of full-scale digital systems for space weather predictions. This simulator was developed as part of the basic studies on the evolutionary process and technology - project supported by the Agency of Science and Technology of Japan, in partnership with the University of Kiushu (Kyushu University) and the Meteorological College.
