amax servmax psc-5n:personal superkomyuter based on nehalem-ep   The company AMAX, which is one of the largest manufacturers of server computers and data storage systems in North America, announced the release of the industry`s first personal supercomputer Tesla Personal Cupercomputer-based processors recently announced by Intel Nehalem-EP for servers and workstations. New product will be released to the market under the name ServMax PSC-5n.
The new computer is optimized for scientific computing. ServMax PSC-5n makes 15 times less money, as well as 15-fold reduction in energy consumption compared to traditional rackmount servers format 1U. Among the applications of new items mentioned geosciences, engineering, molecular biology, medical diagnostics, EDA-applications, data visualization, financial modeling.
The technical features ServMax PSC-5n:

  • CPU Intel Xeon 5500 series;
  • Support for DDR3-1333 memory/1066/800, system logic Tylersburg-EP;
