As we reported this summer in the U. S. will start broadcasting technology ATSC mobile DTV, which will provide users with mobile access to free TV. This event is diligently preparing the South Korean company LG Electronics - it will begin mass production of new mobile DTV receivers as early as June. These chips come to market under the name LG2160A.
New Standard for ATSC mobile DTV will allow broadcasters to use modern DTV-channels with a capacity 19, 3 megabits per second for data transmission with very stable characteristics. The signal is compatible with mobile DTV signal 8-VSB DTV, developed by an American research laboratory LG.
LG2160A supports automatic energy-saving mode, which is intended for the extension of an autonomous mobile devices. At 2009 National Association of Broadcasters demonstrated prototypes of a variety of devices based on the new chip, pocket TVs, phones, automotive systems, notebook PCs.
