MWC 2009:Platform of Broadcom for Android-smartphone with HD-video

The company announced at the MWC Broadcom 2009 reference design for smart phones with video and high-definition 12-megapixel camera. Manufacturer of mobile chipsets will position its solution as the primary platform for future phones that are running Android. Reference design also includes a processor for the network 3G BCM2153, multimedia processor BCM2727, module Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/FM on-chip BCM4325, A-GPS receiver BCM4750, TV receiver and the BCM2940 chip power management BCM59035. Company representative stated that the combination of capabilities Android OS and functional solutions from Broadcom will lead to the emergence of the next generation of smartphones and communicators.
