Ricoh CX1 processor Smooth Imaging Engine IV and CMOS-sensor

The company Ricoh announced release of a compact digital camera under the symbol CX1, built on the basis of the new image processor Smooth Imaging Engine IV and equipped 1/2, 3-inch CMOS-sensor with an effective resolution of 9, 29 lm (sensitivity of 80 to 1600 units of ISO). This model is equipped with a wide-angle lens with a 7 1-fold optical zoom (equivalent to a range of focal lengths from 28 to 200 mm), equipped with a system of 4, 8-fold digital zoom and has a dynamic range equivalent to 12 EV, that allows to obtain very contrasting images. In addition, the staff realized such features as Multi-Pattern Auto White Balance (White Balance configured in several areas of the image) and the Multi-Target Auto Focus (camera consistently makes up to seven images with automatically selects different focal length), which, in statements made by the developers, provide the possibility of creating an incredibly beautiful photos.
