Sales of smartphones grow

   Global sales of smartphones have increased by almost 40% in the second quarter of 2008 - more than 15 - percent increase in sales of phones over the same period. According to analysts, this is an indication of high interest to buyers of this type of product.
The total number of phones in the second quarter amounted to 300 million units, a 5% more than the first. Sales of smartphones worldwide, in turn, account for 37, 1 million - at 37, 4% more than a year ago. Of these, 15, 3 million pieces were created Nokia. Many smartphones in the second quarter presented and Motorola, including models A1600, A1800 and A810.
During the third quarter of RIM (Research in Motion) and Palm plan to introduce new vehicles. Their example will be followed by Samsung Electronics with the model Omnia, Sony Ericsson with sliders Xperia XI and with Nokia N96.
