According to analysts the company in 2012 will be sold around 500 million Symbian smartphones and communicators (29% of the market for phones). In 2009, the market will be shipped about 170 million such devices (14% market share).
The unit Samsung Mobile Display, taking into account current trends, it is estimated that in 2013 approximately half of manufactured portable devices (navigators, digital cameras, audio players, handsets) will have a touch-sensitive display.
Samsung promises that more will be integrated into their vehicles displays, made on technology OLED. They are thinner, did not have lights, offer better color reproduction and lower power consumption compared to TFT-screens. After five years, OLED-displays will be built in approximately 50% of all phones, 20% cells and 30% of portable consoles.
