tdk for ssd controllers support sata ii   The company TDK announced the development of new controllers series GBDriver RS2 Series, designed to work in high-speed solid-state drives with interface Serial ATA II. New items provide a small delay when accessing the disk with high data transfer rates - about 95 megabytes per second.
The new controller can be used with SLC-chips with the 2 - and 4-KB pages of memory, as well as chip-based multi-layer cells. On the basis of GBDriver RS2 can be designed with storage capacity from 128 MB to 64 GB. New items can be used in embedded solutions, as well as Blu-ray players, netbukah and other consumer electronics.
A lot of attention in the design of new controllers has been given to the reliability of operations with data. The code with error correction, automatic data recovery, as well as protection against loss of information in the event of a sudden cessation of power. It is also worth to mention the implementation of wear leveling technology cells. It supports data encryption using the AES algorithm with 128-bit key.
Controllers are available in a 120-contact TQPF shells and 144-pin VFBGA. SSD-based disk interface SATA II TDK company promises to release in May.
