why resident evil is called biohazard in japan ?   We know that Capcom is using for Resident Evil series dual name. In the United States and Europe, the game is called Resident Evil, but at home in Japan - Biohazard. Recently Capcom representative Chris Kramer (Chris Kramer) explained to the staff of GamesRadar, why the company decided to choose a marketing policy.
In late 1994, Capcom Entertainment in the United States has just started to think of as promote the game. As it turned out to register the trademark Biohazard in North America did not succeed because the country already had some kind of DOS-toy, and musical group of the same name. As a result, management decided to hold a competition for the best new name for the project. The winner in this competition and came out the words Resident Evil, which well reflects the plot of the first part of the horror-series.
